Psalm 8
Does it ever amaze you that the majestic, almighty, creator of the universe, God is mindful of US?
Incredible!
This Psalm resonates deeply with me today.
I have been studying the book of John with a couple of friends. We have noticed that there has been a repeating theme of God SPEAKING to His people. I have been chewing on this truth. This omnipotent God cares enough about each speck of dust that we are (in the realm of time),
to SPEAK to us! To KNOW us! To ACT on our behalf!
How often do I hear Him speak in a Scripture, or a song, or feel His presence nudge me? Am I even aware that GOD just spoke to me?! Do I stop to have a happy, joy dance that I was counted worthy to receive from the King of Kings? Do I hide each conversation with Him in my heart and cherish each directive from Him, simply because GOD SPOKE TO ME!?!
Awesome!
O LORD,
Our LORD
Your Name is MAJESTIC
in all the earth !
You have set
YOUR GLORY
above the heavens !
So what is mankind
that you are mindful
of US ?
Yet
You CARE for us.
You CROWN us with glory and honor
AND
You have made us RULERS over the
very works of YOUR hands
You put EVERYTHING under our feet !
MAJESTIC
is your name
in all the earth
O LORD,
Our Lord
