Praying Psalm 5

What does your quiet time or “prayer closet” look like?
Do you have a certain time of day that works best, or a certain place?  I joke with my husband that I need a stockpile of water proof sticky notes because I feel like I hear God best in the shower.  Yeah, I know.  Totally weird.  Psalm 5 is such a great prayer to start the day!
So glad you’ve come and we’re praying it together today!

A Morning Prayer from Psalm 5~

In the morning,
O LORD,
my King,  my God

You HEAR my voice…

I lay my requests before you
and wait
in EXPECTATION…

I, by your great
MERCY
will come into your house.
I will bow down
in REVERENCE.

LEAD me.
Make straight YOUR way before me.

I will be GLAD as I take refuge in you.
I will ever sing for JOY !

Spread your PROTECTION
over all those who love YOUR NAME !

For, SURELY , O LORD,
you BLESS the righteous;
LORD,
SURROUND us
with your FAVOR like a shield.
