Psalm 21 – Daily Bread from the Psalms
Daily Bread: Thoughts and Prayers from the Psalms
~ Psalm 21 ~
In Psalm 21, unlike some earlier Psalms, David is rejoicing in his VICTORY.
God has delivered David from his enemies. Not only was David victorious, but he was once again recognized and exalted as king! It is quite evident that he is happy about this win! Though this may sound like a boast, read the words slowly again. David isn’t bragging about his OWN great strength, or power, or position, he is thanking GOD for these things! AND he is praising the LORD for it all! We now have seen David at his lowest moments, really struggling to see good in them, but still crying out to God, and now we see him in a moment of great triumph, REMEMBERING to give God all the thanks and all the glory!
Whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, there is usually a reflection of it in the Psalms. Whether in the depths of despair or on the mountain top in victory… whether crying out to God in anguish or shouting praises to Him; we can find a kind of gentle, knowing companionship in the pages of this book. It is a great comfort and strength to know that the foundation is the same in all situations and seasons. It is SURE that God is with us !
God, Most High,
Full of
POWER & MIGHT
We exalt you !
We REJOICE in You,
Our King

This song is really a great song of rejoicing in the VICTORIES of Jesus! Enjoy!
There is something about the act of writing that plants a thought deep in your mind & heart.
As I’ve been going through the Psalms, I have been writing them all down in my journal. I LOVE IT ! It helps me to focus and really THINK deeply about what I’ve just read.
What I don’t love is the fact that my journal won’t lie open flat. It closes on my hand while I’m writing and won’t stay open if I pause to look something up. I really like this journal below ! <it is an affiliate link to Amazon>
I will be making this purchase soon! Just thought I’d share 🙂
