Daily Bread from the Psalms (Psalm 6 & 7)
Daily Bread: Thoughts and Prayers from the Psalms
Psalms 6 & 7
A prayer for a hard day.
Some days are just plain hard.
Have you had a hard day lately?
Have you been utterly worn out, or weak with sorrow?
You aren’t alone.
The writers of the Psalms had those days.
We all have those days.
Psalms 6 and 7 are beautiful prayers to remind us to LOOK UP!
He HEARS your prayers!
I wrote about a series of hard days I had recently, and what the Lord showed me. You can read it if you’d like –> here.
LORD !
Be MERCIFUL to me
for I am faint and my soul is in anguish.
LORD!
HEAL me and DELIVER me.
I am worn out.
I am weak with sorrow.
LORD!
I know you hear my weeping.
You hear my cry for mercy.
You accept my prayer.
SAVE me
Because of your UNFAILING LOVE !
LORD!
ARISE !
AWAKE !
DECREE !
RULE !
JUDGE !
My SHIELD is GOD MOST HIGH !
God
You who searches minds and hearts.
You who saves the upright in heart.
You who judges with righteousness.
Oh LORD,
I will give thanks because of YOUR righteousness
and I will sing PRAISE to your name,
the name of
THE LORD MOST HIGH
